Burger King will continue its jingle collaborations this year with D.J. and music producer Steve Aoki in a remix of the “Whopper, Whopper” commercial that was popular on social media earlier in the year, the company said.

The division of Toronto-based Restaurant Brands International Inc. said this is the fourth year the brand has teamed with musicians in its sponsorship of the Video Music Awards, which air Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Past collaborations included Latto in 2022, Anitta in 2021 and Lil Yachty in 2020. Latto also partnered in July with Dallas-based Wingstop Inc. for a special wing promotion of The Latto Meal.

Aoki has worked with such artists as Daddy Yankee, Play-N-Skillz and Elvis Crespo for “Azukita” and Tini and La Joaqui for “Muñecas.”

A teaser of the Burger King-Aoki collaboration is on YouTube. It is produced with Paramount Brand Studio.

Burger King and Aoki followers can stream remix versions of the brand’s jingle on its official Spotify channel and on TikTok beginning at 10 a.m. EDT on Sept. 12.  Burger King and Aoki will debut an official music video later that evening during the live broadcast of the VMAs, the company said

In honor of the partnership, Burger King offers to waive delivery fees on Sept. 12 to members of its loyalty program, Royal Perks,  on orders of $5 or more via the smartphone app or online at BK.com.

As of June 30, Burger King had 18,935 restaurants worldwide. Restaurant Brands International also owns the Firehouse Subs, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Tim Hortons brands.
